Vat Accountant

Your new company
This is a growing, modern and recognisable multinational merchandising business based in Manchester, who are looking for a VAT accountant to join their in-house tax team. The business partners with a range of large, global brands and assists with logistics, marketing, sustainability and account management - offering a bespoke range of services and support to their client base. The company also offers an excellent range of benefits for the right person joining the tax team.
Your new role
This role will see you handle VAT matters for the business, whilst working as part of the Indirect Tax team, and the wider UK tax function. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Assist with VAT reporting across the UK and foreign entities.
• Coordinate data input and manage master data accordingly.
• Assist with corporation tax returns when required.
• Prepare and manage VAT returns and payments
• Identify new ways to streamline existing processes and improve efficiency.

What you\'ll need to succeed
This role is ideal for you if you have gained a good knowledge and understanding of VAT, ideally from working within an in-house VAT role, although first-time practice movers will be considered too. You must have a good knowledge of IT systems such as Excel and be comfortable in recommending ways in which to streamline and improve systems to internal stakeholders. The role is ideal for someone looking to progress in their career within a global business, and take on an interesting, complex workload.
