This is an exciting new opportunity for a veterinary surgeon or anatomical or physiological scientist, who is enthusiastic about training the next generation of veterinary surgeons in comparative Structure and Function.

This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the development of teaching methods and materials across both BVMS and other courses, with a focus on anatomy, physiology, histology and pathophysiology (some flexibility according to expertise and interests). You will be keen to develop and deliver a clinically integrated, outcomes-focused course, using active-learning methods and to share your knowledge and experience to ensure competence in the primary-care practitioners of the future.

Based at our Preston campus as part of the academic team, you will be responsible for delivering teaching and assessment around all aspects of comparative Structure and Function of species of veterinary relevance, using a variety of active teaching approaches including integrating digital technologies. You will have an enthusiasm for developing high quality, innovative educational experiences, and ideally will also have:

• A good honours degree in Veterinary sciences, anatomy, physiology or another relevant discipline
• Experience in delivering high quality innovative teaching, learning and assessment in a higher education establishment
• An understanding of ethical animal use and the integration of alternatives to animal use including digital and non-animal resources

We have 2 levels of post to which you can apply most suited to your level of experience, whether that be in having delivered high quality innovative teaching, learning and assessment in a higher education establishment or as an entry level academic where you will be supported to develop your knowledge and skills as an academic.
