As the public face of our properties, you’ll provide a warm, friendly welcome, give information about the property, answer questions and make sure everyone has an enjoyable and memorable visit. This is a zero hour fixed term contract to 3 November 2024.
This role is an hourly paid, fixed term role. Wherever possible we aim to offer a consistent working pattern, but we’re looking for flexibility as it may be necessary for us to alter this pattern from time to time to suit the needs of the business. We’d give you as much notice of this as possible. Hours vary depending on operational requirements but we are going to have some structure, ie every other weekend plus a day mid-week , discussing preferences at interview.
The salary advertised is our anticipated salary from 1st April but is subject to final confirmation following the Trust’s annual pay review process.
Interviews will be held week commencing 1st of April.
What it's like to work hereReporting to the Welcome Manager, you'll be part of an amazing team of Welcome & Service Assistants. Based at Sissinghurst Castle Garden, there may be opportunities to work at our other Portfolio properties, Lamb House, Smallhythe Place and Stoneacre.

What you'll be doing Day to day, you’ll deliver a great all-round customer service experience. You’ll be on hand answering queries and listen to what our visitors need so you can share the right information. Your role is to make sure our visitors have the best day they can. You’ll have the chance to be involved in different aspects of the visitor experience, from key property events to social media promotion - no two days are the same.Great visitor experiences are in our nature, and we believe everyone should feel welcomed, appreciated and more engaged because of the excellent service you provide.
