Year - End Accountant

Interim Closedown Accountant | 6 months + | Remote Working | Local Government

Castlefield Recruitment are currently working in partnership with a Local Authority to recruit an Interim Closedown / Year End Accountant on an initial 6-month interim basis (strong possibility of extension).

Duties;

• Assisting with the year end closedown and statutory returns
• Assisting with preparation of the statement of accounts
• Responsible for managing and delivering effective reporting including the annual accounts
• Ability to understand and apply technical accounting standards
• Ensuring robust financial controls are in place and financial risk is understood

The person;

• CCAB/CIMA qualified, or equivalent with a strong technical skillset
• Experience within Local Government Finance
• Strong MS Excel skills
