Hours and working pattern: 37hpw, actual working pattern to be confirmed (the school will operate a flexible early finish on Fridays from September 2024)
Grade: S02, 26 - 28
Salary: £34,834 - £36,648 FTE (£30,866 - £32,473 Actual)
Start date: September 2024
We are seeking an outstanding professional to excel in this key team middle leadership position in the school’s pastoral structure. The Year Leader will provide professional leadership and management to a dedicated year group and secure high quality care and welfare for all students, supporting student behaviour, attendance and safeguarding. The role is varied and the ideal candidate will be adaptable, flexible and resourceful who can work effectively in a busy environment.
The role will involve:
- Responsibility for the deployment of student support services across the year group.
- To work collaboratively with Director of Studies for the year group and together, assisted by a substantial team of Form Tutors.
- To work with families and the community.
- To provide support for the wider Student Support Team
- To ensure all five components of the original ‘Every Child Matters’ entitlement are met for each subject
Applicants will need to demonstrate:
- Excellent attention to detail, effective analytical skills and strong inter-personal and communication skills, together with the ability to work as part of a successful team.
- Applicants should have appropriate qualifications and/or relevant experience in working with young people.
- A commitment to:
- Working in line with statutory safeguarding guidance (e.g. Keeping Children Safe in Education, prevent and our safeguarding and child protection policies)
- Will have responsibility for receiving and acting upon any reported concerns and ensuring that the Child Protection Policy is implemented and promote best safeguarding practice across the school as part of the Student Support Team.
- Promoting the safeguarding of all students in the school
