Job description

Join the Whistl Doordrop Media team in Marlow as an Account Executive and become an essential part of our Client Services team.

Your role is crucial - from initiating client contact to executing campaigns - you'll use Excel for data-driven decisions, delivering tailored solutions.

With excellent communication and negotiation skills, you'll proactively address client needs, driving sales and maintaining high standards in company-client relationships.

About the Role

Client Relationship Management

  • Act as the main client liaison, ensuring thorough comprehension and satisfaction of the client's needs and objectives.
  • Conduct regular check-ins to gather feedback, fostering lasting relationships based on trust and commercial responsibility.
  • Manage a £3.1 million Doordrop revenue portfolio, employing effective strategies to boost profit margins and providing quotes to clients within the portfolio.

Proposal Development

  • Create detailed proposals, carefully outlining service agreements, deliverables, and potential considerations.
  • Work with internal teams to ensure client expectations align with operational capabilities.

Data Analysis and Reporting

  • Analyse campaign performance and cost tracking and provide actionable insights using Excel functions such as pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and complex formula creation.

Campaign Planning

  • Craft comprehensive campaign plans during quoting, utilising data-driven strategies for maximum impact.
  • Effectively manage strategies to increase profit margins.
  • Utilise relevant platform searches and eye-tracking tools for precise audience targeting and engagement optimisation.

Onboarding and Communication:

  • Send welcome packs to new clients for a smooth transition.
  • Keep communication open, updating clients on campaign progress and relevant information.

Coordination and Collaboration:

  • Work closely with internal teams for smooth campaign execution.
  • Use Excel for streamlined data management, including scheduling, availability tracking, and reporting.

Additional Information

The regular working hours for this Account Executive role range from 9am to 5:30pm and 8am to 4pm, totalling 37.5 hours per week.
Flexibility to work extra hours at short notice may be required, on occasion, to support business needs.


Essential Skills

To perform the role effectively, we would estimate that the candidate would need the following knowledge and skills:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working in an administrative/office environment
  • IT literate - Basic MS Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint)
  • Have strong communication skills, both verbal and written, able to provide service with professionalism and courtesy
  • Excellent team player able to engage with colleagues in a friendly and supportive manner who is flexible and able to quickly adapt to change, work well under pressure, and maintain a high level of accuracy
  • Proactive problem-solving skills,with the ability to adjust priorities when needed and adaptable to multitasking
  • Self-driven and works well with minimal supervision with a focus on efficiency
  • Full driving licence

Desirable Skills
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a customer-focused environment, including direct contact with customers
  • Intermediate MS Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint)
