Job Role

As a key member of the finance team, you will work closely with the Financial Controller and the rest of the Finance & Commercial Team, to enable the effective day-to-day running of the finance function and to provide the best possible financial support to the broader business.

JOB TITLE: Accountant

REPORTS TO: Financial Controller

DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Update weekly cash report
• Ownership of capex trackers
• Assisting the Financial Controller in the monthlyclosing (accruals/ prepayment/ leases)
• Inventory close and trackers/ stock losses/ Inventory depreciation annually
• Supporting the FC in monthly B/S sheet reconciliation
• Monthly intercos reconciliation
• Ecom and retail reconciliations
• Booking of Credit cards expensesand Travel expenses(Concur)
• Supporting the FCon the Financial IT systems
• Back up of Financeassistant
• Supporting monthly analysis by meeting ad hoc requests (analysis of costs by cost center or department or Projects)
• VAT

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE,

• Experience working within Retail
• Enthusiastic, committed and a fast learner with previous experience of a busy environment
• Computer literate with an aptitude for numbers
• Proven record of understand of financial system
• Comprehensive understanding of bookkeeping and accountancy procedures
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work with individuals across departments and liaise with external customers and contacts
• Solid organisational skills and the ability to prioritise a varied workload

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Attention to detail
