Hours: The role is a full-time position, 39 hours per week, 5 days a week, between Monday and Friday with an early finish on Fridays. Part time options available.
The role:
Our new Accounts Administrator will play a key role within our accounts team based in the Hyde Head Office (city centre option) and will report to the Company Accountant. This role will support our growing finance department in all aspects of accounting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing invoice copies and credit notes to customers
- Inputting data of supplier invoices into Xero
- Requesting invoice copies – externally and internally
- Checking documents for accuracy and requesting amendments
- Filing and scanning post
- Reconciliation of supplier statements
- Monitoring finance mailbox
- Processing staff expenses/credit card expenses
- Checking and verifying paperwork
- General ad hoc duties when required in order to assist with the smooth running of our finance team
About you:
We are looking for a numeric individual with good excel skills and exceptional attention to detail. You must possess logical and methodical thinking with the ability to resolve problems effectively. You must feel comfortable inputting large amounts of data efficiently and accurately in an accounting context. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team is crucial for this role
The successful candidate will have the following:
- A level in maths at grades A*-C (or equivalent) or studying towards AAT (or equivalent) are desirable but not essential.
- Strong excel skills
- Knowledge of Xero accounting software is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent data entry skills with an ability to identify numerical and typing errors
- Must be excellent at meeting targets and deadlines
- Ability to make decisions affecting own work, prioritise and plan their work
- Can show creative thinking when solving problems
- Ability to listen and follow instructions methodically
- Excellent communicator, both orally and in writing
- Ability to build relationships with a range of colleagues
- Great organisational skills – able to manage own workload and multitask
- Ensure confidentiality and privacy of information is maintained
Although 1 year of experience working in a similar position would be ideal, graduates are invited to apply for this role.
