RM Recruit are working with a brilliant Kidderminster based organisation, who are seeking to hire an Accounts Assistant on a 3-month ongoing contract. This role will see will support the Finance function in ensuring the effective running of the monthly reporting. You will be responsible for completing payments, bank transaction journals and bank reconciliations.
Main duties include:
- General ledger postings
- Ensure that the Financial Regulations are understood and being complied with throughout the organisation overall.
- Assisting in the year end audit, providing reports for auditors
- Accruals and prepayments
- Assist with month-end closing activities.
- Adhoc assistance to both ledgers
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve any payment issues or inquiries.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions.
- Balance Sheet Reconciliations
- Perform other duties as may be required from time to time.
- To work with due regard to confidentiality and the principles of Data Protection whilst encouraging others to do the same.
The ideal candidate will be AAT Qualified or equivalent and possess experience working in complex company environments. You will be a confident communicator who can forge relationships with a number of stakeholders. You will be able to demonstrate past experience with reconciliations and be able to efficiently work to tight deadlines.
