Accounts Assistant / Legal Cashier
Ref: MY45557A British legal firm is currently recruiting an Accounts Assistant / Legal Cashier.
You will play a vital role within the busy law firm contributing directly to the success of the company.
Working with friendly and motivated colleagues in their modern new office in the City of London, the ideal candidate will share these characteristics.
TYPE: Permanent, full-time
WORKING HOURS: 9:00-17:00 from Monday to Friday
SALARY: up to £30K depending on experience (30K-35K is negotiable depending on experience)
START: ASAP
LOCATION: City of London (Currently 3 days in the office, 2 days’ work from home - It may change depending on the company’s decision.)
Accounts Assistant/Legal Cashier Main Responsibilities:
- Posting legal costs on the Practice Management software
- Posting purchase ledger invoices to the accounting software
- Assisting with sales invoice preparation and administration
- Verification of new bank payee details and assisting with property completion schedules
- Preparation of bank payments for authorisation
- Client ledger/bank reconciliations
- Providing back-up and holiday cover to other accounts staff
- Preparation of time breakdowns for sending with sales invoices
- Allocation of pre-paid income on a monthly basis
- General administrative duties in the case management system
- Assist with compliance of Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) accounts rules in maintaining and reviewing client balances
- Other ad hoc duties as required
Junior Cashier/Accounts Assistant Ideal Candidate:
- Experience in a significant amount of the areas listed above
- Business level of fluency in English
- Good knowledge of bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures
- Strong organisational and multi-tasking abilities
- High computer literacy
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Self-discipline, Team player and Customer oriented
- Strong sense of responsibility, time oriented and Attention to detail
- Understanding of Japanese or Chinese language is plus
