Our exclusive client based in Blackburn are currently recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join their busy accounts team. This role is dealing with all cash coming into the business and ensuring it is logged and reconciled correctly.
Duties of the role include:
- Daily reconciliations and ensuring the cash book is up to date
- Downloading sales ledger receipts from the bank
- Posting all sales ledger receipts
- Reconciling till transactions from each site ensuring they all match to the bank
- Bank reconciliations
- Liaising with managers and credit controllers to ensure correct postings
- Assisting with depot managers with locating missing payments and transferring payments between customer accounts
- Checking petty cash claims and ensure receipts are received and correct
- Processing and checking customer refunds
You need to be naturally methodical to be considered for this role. You also must have excellent accuracy and have a natural eye for detail. The business will be study should you wish however it isnt essential and if you would prefer not to, that is also fine.
