Job Description
- Providing support to the finance team and managing daily accounting tasks.
- Assisting with month-end financial reports.
- Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded.
- Updating accounts receivable and issue invoices.
- Updating accounts payable and perform reconciliations.
- Assist with reviewing of expenses, payroll records etc. as assigned.
- Update financial data in databases to ensure that information will be accurate and immediately available when needed.
- Assist senior accountants in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Accounts Assistant should have:
- A strong academic background in accounting or finance.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly in Excel.
- Experience within a similar accounts role with exposure to VAT reporting and reconciliation along with transactional finance.
- Knowledge of Xero software would be an advantage
- Excellent organisation and multitasking skills.
