Accounts Payable

This role seeks an Accounts Payable professional, who will contribute significantly to the Accounting & Finance department of our retail firm in Carlisle. The role involves processing invoices, handling queries and contributing to the overall efficiency of the department.

Description

• Process invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
• Manage vendor queries and resolve invoice discrepancies.
• Prepare payment runs and reconcile supplier statements.
• Maintain the Accounts Payable ledger.
• Contribute to month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
• Assist with internal and external audits.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the department.

Profile

A successful Accounts Payable should have:

• A degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Proven experience in an Accounts Payable role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
• Good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
