The business is seeking a dedicated and experienced Accounts Team Leader to join their small but dynamic finance team. While they collaborate with an accountancy firm for monthly and year-end management accounts and taxation, they require a skilled individual to manage and oversee all other aspects of the finance department. This role involves leading and coordinating a close-knit team to ensure the smooth operation of financial processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- General accounts payable/receivable duties
- Entering supplier invoices into the ERP system
- Matching and checking suppliers' invoices
- Credit control activities
- Managing credit insurance
- Preparing and processing payroll
- Handling VAT returns and submissions
- Reconciling bank statements and financial transactions
- Producing financial reports and statements
- Assisting with budget preparation and monitoring
- Maintaining fixed asset registers
- Overseeing expense management and approvals
- Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards
- Managing the team
- A comprehensive understanding of accounts and bookkeeping experience
