Following the recent internal promotion of some of our Activity Support Officers we have opportunities for new people to come and join the team who provide support to our classes during the lunchtime period.
In your role of Activity Support Worker, you will support pupils during the extended lunchtime period (11.30am-1.30pm) in a range of activities both indoors and outdoors to ensure staffing levels remain consistent. You will be part of a positive staff team who work collaboratively and support each other. Your responsibilities will include;
- Encouraging and developing pupil’s social skills
- Encouraging and taking part in activities and games both indoors and outdoors with pupils
- Using informal discussion and play situations with pupils to encourage good relationships
- Supporting pupils to develop their life skills around food and eating
- Assisting with the personal care and necessary minor medical treatments of pupils, i.e. toileting and intimate care issues (as per school guidance and direction).
