This is a part time post (15 hours per week) with the opportunity to cover additional shifts during colleagues' annual leave/sickness. The set contracted hours are:
Monday - 08.15 to 16.45
Wednesday - 08.15 to 16.45
We are looking for someone with reception/administration experience, who is hard working, committed, and thrives in a team environment.
This post would suit a highly motivated and organised individual, as they will undertake many roles including; greeting and booking in visitors, answering the telephone, cash handling & online banking, booking meeting rooms & Audiology appointments, typing (using MS Office software), franking and sorting post, data input and various other administrative duties. They will also be liaising with patients' next of kin following inpatient deaths so a calm and compassionate nature is essential. Please note: this is NOT a counselling role, it is purely administration tasks.
The applicants must be conversant with Microsoft packages and have good keyboard skills.
The applicants should be able to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues at all levels. They should be able to work unsupervised as well as part of a team, be able to deal with difficult situations calmly and able to use their initiative.
Experience of working in the NHS would be an advantage, but not essential as full training will be given.
