Customer Service Administrator : The successful candidate will join a highly dynamic team responsible for scheduling surgical procedure appointments. The candidate will gain an in-depth knowledge of the Surgical booking process across a range of medical specialties. They will be a point of contact for all patients wishing to book or enquire about surgical procedures, so a key part of the role is managing a high volume of communications via phone, email and web based communication. We are looking for highly motivated applicants who are committed to producing quality outcomes and those who thrive on the challenge of working in a fast paced and busy office environment.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential.
Excellent customer service is something that should come naturally to you along with the ability to display empathy and demonstrate strong listening skills. The successful candidate will be based at our newly renovated Administration Hub in Belfast.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Scheduling of surgical procedures within specific time scales
- Ensuring all records are accurate and up to date relating to patient treatment
- Liaising with colleagues across a variety of teams
- Work as part of a team to ensure the smooth running of department
- Dealing with queries from patients over the phone, in person and via email, ensuring timely responses
- Help patients fill in paperwork and request documentation if required
- Liaising with external agencies in a professional and efficient manner

Person Specification: Factor Essential Desirable Qualifications 5 GCSE grades A-C including Maths and English or Equivalent.
- Experience 6-12 month s customer service experience.
- Excellent IT skills with proven experience in Microsoft packages.
- Demonstrable ability to prioritise work, meet deadlines and work calmly under pressure. Background in medical administration Special Knowledge and Skills Understanding of the Data Protection Act and importance of confidentiality.
- Ability to multi-task, and work to deadlines.
- The ability to communicate effectively with a wide and varied range of people e.g. medical professionals, colleagues, patients or customers.
- Keen attention to detail and the reliability to convey accurate information.
- Knowledge of medical terminology
