The role
As a Administrator, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll be supporting the T31 Project, which aims to deliver five general purpose, global, adaptable and exportable frigates to the Royal Navy. The vessels are designed to undertake a range of operational tasks - from maritime security, humanitarian aid, disaster relief and defence engagement, to operation in a high threat environment. The Project is the pathfinder and cornerstone of the National Shipbuilding Strategy and will be delivered in an innovative manner with all five ships to be in-service by Dec 2028.
Day to day, you'll undertake a range of clerical and administrative duties to support and ensure the smooth running of the department - this includes but is not limited to:
- Processing a wide range of documents and information received from a range of sources.
- Reconciling records to ensure accuracy of data and the system
- Identify and carry out initial investigation into discrepancies and shortages, involving statistical information, document control or physical stock control
- Collate and extract data and produce routine reports, schedules, summaries and letters for internal circulation or for customers and suppliers
- Support the T31 team with bookings - processing timesheets and progress in our reporting system.
This role is full time, offered on a 22-week fixed term contract, and will be based at our Rosyth Dockyard site.
Essential experience of the Administrator:
- Demonstrable understanding of systems, processes and procedures, and their importance within the general operation of a department
- Demonstrable experience within a clerical environment
- Ability to produce statistical summaries.
- Experience of delivering commitments to agreed levels of quality, time and to schedule
- Ability to work independently and prioritise your work in response to the deadlines within a department.
- Effective time management skills

The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance for this role.
