Job Overview:

The purpose of this Area Sales Manager role will be to identify opportunities to maintain and grow our clients’ business whilst building an extensive knowledge base of the current market environment.

• Achieve sales targets and acquire new formularies.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key customers in the NHS and private sector.
• Understand customer needs and the environment in each key account.
• Develop a business plan to achieve overall business objectives.

To be successful:

To be suitable for this Area Sales Manager in Surgical Ophthalmology it is essential that you have demonstrable experience of theatre sales and a passion for surgical innovation.

• Comfortable working within theatre and surgical sales.
• Ophthalmology or surgical experience, highly desirable.
• Substantial secondary care Key Account Management experience.
• Experience working with KOLs and HCPs at various levels especially Surgeons.
• Educated to a degree level or equivalent experience.
• ABPI qualified, preferable.
• Proven sales record and accustomed to managing your own territory.
• Awareness of NHS policies and structure.
