SalaryEstablished business in Dartford looking to hire an Assistant Accountant on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast growing, privately owned PLC, with an excellent reputation in their field and a national presence. Reporting to the Finance Manager, duties and responsibilities of the role include:
- Prepare Daily, Weekly and Monthly Reports for all levels of the business
- Manage journal entries
- Prepare VAT returns for multiple countries
- Oversee all transactions concerning our EU Warehouse operations
- Process Direct Debit payments accurately and efficiently
- Reconcile GL accounts
- Monitor Duty Rates and Commodity Codes
- Provide coverage for Credit Control and Accounts Payable functions as required
This role would suit someone with experience in a similar role, who is studying AAT Level 2/3 OR someone at the beginning of their career, looking to step up and develop their skills. First rate Excel skills and familiarity with SAP Business One would be preferred but not essential. This role is office based Mon-Fri, 8:30-5 and benefits include a bonus scheme, pension, onsite parking and staff discount.
