ASSISTANT ACCOUNTANT - ASAP START - TEMP (end of June 2024) - DIDCOT - £32k - £35k (hourly equivalent)
We are thrilled to be working with a business in Didcot that are looking for a full-time Assistant Accountant to join the team ASAP until the end of June 2024, offering £32k - £35k (hourly equivalent)!
Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, this is role with a broad variety of responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Allocation of cash receipts and payments against sales and purchase ledgers.
- Daily, weekly, and Monthly reconciliations of the bank accounts and cash update.
- Assisting in Cashflow forecast for next 3-month prediction.
- Processing of weekly payment runs in all currency.
- Preparing for Accrued and deferred Revenue reconciliation.
- Preparing Revenue recognition as per IFRS 15.
- Monitoring and controlling month end accruals and prepayments and ensuring complete reconciliation processes are in place.
- Assist and prepare Balance sheet and P&L reconciliation for review.
- Prepare month B/S reconciliation with sub ledger.
- Preparation and reconciliation of VAT monthly.
Experience required:
- Strong level of technical accounting and good foundation of double entry.
- Previous experience of working in financial reporting departments.
- Previous experience of SOX is an added benefit.
- Familiar with working in an international environment a benefit.
- Strong level of Microsoft office skills.
