Our fast growing client based in St Albans, Hertfordshire is looking for an Assistant Accountant to join their busy and growing team on a permanent basis.
This job would suit someone with previous purchase ledger experience who is looking to progress within their career. You will be responsible for the full purchase ledger process, plus you will get involved in some of the month end duties, such as dealing with Fixed Assets, journals, accruals etc.

The successful individual will be able to deal with high-volume processing of invoices and can use initiative to resolve queries from both internal and external sources, solving problems in a timely manner. They will have a positive attitude towards work and be keen to learn and develop their skillset further.
Job responsibilities:
- Ensure all invoices have the correct PO number, VAT number and bank details.
- Arrange corrections to invoices and credit notes.
- Process a high volume of purchase invoices daily.
- Efficiently deal with any supplier queries.
- Assist with the payment run & making one of payments.
- Dealing with the companies Fixed Assets.
- Assist with the company post.
- To take on various ad-hoc tasks within the department.
