Please Note: This is a fixed term position over a 12 month period.
Overview of the Role:
The Assistant Accountant is reportable to the Financial Controller, with a heavy support to all the finance team and stakeholders of Tiny Rebel. The role will be focused on the day to day running of Finance, working closely with our Finance Assistant building up to the month end and reporting. A wide scope is covered in the role touching on all areas of Finance and the necessary financial controls needed.
The Assistant Accountant will be responsible for some of the below, as well as supporting with ad-hoc project work:
- Providing finance admin support such as VAT reporting and bank reconciliations
- Managing financial controls and maintaining best practices
- Resolving complex finance queries across the business
- Working with Budget managers to review spends and cost control
- Support with any financial auditing, both internal and external
The Person:
- Proven experience in a similar role for a minimum of three years
- Part Qualified with a professional body such as ACCA or AAT
- Experience of Accounting software, ideally Xero and strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Accuracy, attention to detail and excellent numeracy skills
- Able to build and maintain effective internal and external relationships
- Experience in a fast-paced environment
