Assistant Financial Controller

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Financial Controller to work with a prestitgous hotel based in the heart of the West End.Working with the Cluster Financial Controller you will be supporting the smooth running of the Finance department. The successful candidate will have a background in hotel accounting and strong reconciliation skills. Experience in hotel accounts receivable,
payables, income audit and a firm understanding of cost control will be advantageous.Communication skills are a must, conveying appropriately with guests, suppliers, team members and managers.Time management is essential, being capable of working to deadlines.Experience using Oracle and Opera will be advantageous - good Excel knowledge is essential.The job:You will offer support, training, guidance and motivation to the finance team ensuring operating procedures are in place and being adhered to.Daily bank reconciliationsPayroll forecastingSupport in the preparation of accurate monthly accounts (journals, income statement, Balance sheet)Variance analysis and investigations.Supporting with internal and external audit requestsPurchase order log maintained with correct coding.Processing monthly affiliate invoicesSupplier payment runs.Accounts payable balancing for end of month closurePetty cash reclaims.Deputise the Cluster Financial Contr...
