Assistant Management Accountant - London
Our client is actively seeking a meticulously organised Assistant Management Accountant to become a valued member of their Finance team. We are looking for an individual who possess exceptional attention to detail, adept multitasking skills, and thrives in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in producing consolidated monthly management accounts.
- Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations for review.
- Support the budgeting and forecasting process.
- Assist in monthly variance analysis to compare against budget and identify trends.
- Manage monthly accruals, prepayments, and bank reconciliations.
- Perform intercompany reconciliations monthly.
- Support Head of Finance & Operations in preparing year-end accounts for Group related companies.
- Manage corporate credit card process, including reconciliation and posting transactions.
- Assist in managing fixed asset registers.
- Provide ad hoc analysis, reporting, and support to the Head of Finance & Operations.
- Control weekly supplier payment run and assist with treasury management.
- Continuously review processes, systems, and reporting to identify improvements.
The ideal Candidate:
- One to two years' experience in a similar role.
- AAT qualified, relevant degree, or early stages of studying for CIMA/ACCA.
- Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and data modelling.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to produce and analyse financial/statistical data.
- Enthusiastic, motivated, and takes pride in their work.
- Eagerness to learn and grow in the finance/accounting field.
- Able to identify the wider implications of their role on the business.
- Familiarity with MS Office Suite and Xero is advantageous.
