Description

• Handling accounts payable for the company.
• Overseeing project-related bookkeeping, including the preparation of invoices and maintaining the Purchase Ledger.
• Coordinating with project teams on financial matters.
• Assisting with the monthly and year-end financial reporting processes.
• Ensuring that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported.
• Collaborating with the Accounting & Finance team to improve financial procedures.
• Participating in financial audits.
• Assisting with other accounting projects as needed.

Profile

The successful Assistant Project Accountant (Purchase Ledger) should have:

• A solid understanding of bookkeeping and accounting payable principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant accounting software.
• Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records.
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• AAT qualification or commitment to obtaining it, with full support from the company.

Job Offer

• A competitive salary range of £24,000 - £29,000 annually.
• Generous holiday allowance of 26 days per year.
• Standard working hours from 8:30 to 5:00, Monday to Friday, with potential for flexible working hours.
• A robust pension scheme, starting at 3% during probation and increasing to 5% after 12 months.
• Full support and encouragement in obtaining or enhancing AAT qualifications.
