About Us: Perrott Partners Recruitment is representing a dynamic client in Woking, Surrey, seeking an experienced Audit Manager for their growing audit department. This role, with a 70% focus on audit and 30% on accounts, is an excellent opportunity for career advancement in a supportive environment.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Communicate effectively with clients, keeping them informed of affairs and tax liabilities.
• Identify tax planning opportunities and additional services for clients.
• Ensure compliance with statutory deadlines and billing targets.
• Set and adhere to budgets, minimizing unexpected write-offs.
• Obtain client approval before proceeding with additional work.
• Monitor financial exposure and outstanding debts, taking appropriate actions.
• Manage client workflow in accordance with firm procedures.
• Plan and execute accounts preparation tasks, including auditing, corporation tax returns, annual returns, and regulatory filings.
• Ensure timely completion of all HMRC returns.
• Handle Director's, Partner's, or Sole Trader's tax returns for the business client portfolio.
• Undertake ad hoc tasks, including profit and cash flow forecasting, management accounts, valuations, and due diligence work.
• Perform all duties in compliance with the Firm's Staff Handbook and Procedures Manual.
• Assist with team development and support team members as needed.
• Collaborate with partners to propose strategic ideas, attract new clients, and contribute to team recruitment.

Experience and Skills Required:

• ACA, ACCA, or CA qualification.
• 3-4 years of PQE experience.
• Previous experience managing a client fee portfolio of approximately £150K or more.
• Strong knowledge of auditing and accounting practices and principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and accounting software (CaseWare, Xero, Sage, QuickBooks).
• Excellent professional communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective interaction at all organizational levels, internally and externally.
