My Client, a Commercial Automotive Dealership, are looking for an Accountant to join their team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring financial accuracy, compliance with accounting policies, and providing essential information for decision-making within the organisation.

They are now looking to invest in the talent of an Automotive Management Accountant / Dealership Management Accountant / Accountant / Management Accountant / Dealership Finance Manager to be part of the core team. Duties and responsibilities for the Automotive Management Accountant / Dealership Management Accountant / Accountant / Management Accountant / Dealership Finance Manager:

To provide essential support across various financial and accounting tasks to ensure financial accuracy, compliance with accounting policies and robust financial information for decision-making.

Key responsibilities will include:

• ·Support with the preparation of month end management accounts for the group.
• ·Collaborating with cross functional teams to support financial projects and initiatives.
• ·Support in preparing the statutory accounts for all entities including consolidated accounts where required.
• ·Supporting preparation of corporation tax returns and R&D tax credit claims.
• ·Maintain asset registers to include monthly reconciliation and calculating and posting depreciation.
• ·Determining and posting journals, prepayments, and accruals.
• ·Monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• ·Contributing to the development of financial policies, procedures, and best practices.
• ·Preparation of audit deliverables and liaison with auditors to ensure a smooth audit process.
• ·Analysis and processing of VAT returns.
• ·Reconciling bank and credit card accounts.
• ·Reviewing transactions for accuracy.
• ·Supporting the business with ad hoc reporting and analysis

Qualifications and Experience for the Automotive Management Accountant / Dealership Management Accountant / Accountant / Management Accountant / Dealership Finance Manager:

• ·Minimum of 1 to 2 years’ experience in an accounting or finance role.
• ·Automotive or Dealership Accounting Experience
• ·Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• ·Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• ·Attention to detail and highly organized.
• ·Quick and keen learner.
• ·Highly motivated, able to work on own but also as part of a small team.
• ·Familiarity with Automotive Accounting packages is an advantage.
