We have an opportunity for an experienced Bookkeeper to join a successful, established company in a full time, permanent role.
Based on the beautiful island of Anglesey you will be responsible for meeting the day to day demands of the accounts payable function including all aspects of bookkeeping, and sales and purchase ledger. Reporting directly to the Finance Manager you will be working with a friendly, driven team in a lovely location.
As the Bookkeeper you will, be responsible for:
- All aspects of purchase and sales ledger
- Posting of invoices and reconciliation
- Dealing with supplier queries
- Preparing weekly payment runs & month ends
- Issuing remittances
- Creating and posting the accrual and prepayment journals
- Bank reconciliation and daily cash forecasting
- General accounts tasks and other duties as necessary
We are keen to see your CV if you have the following skills or experience.
- Proven experience in a bookkeeping and able to perform both sales and purchase ledger functions (minimum 3 years)
- AAT Qualification or working towards (desirable)
- Strong IT skills including MS Office, proficient in Excel with financial software experience - ideally Quick Books
- Knowledge of VAT Regulations, especially those applying to the construction industry
- Knowledge of Construction industry scheme and rules relating to subcontractors
- Have the ability to manage, plan and prioritise own workload to meet deadlines
This is a full-time permanent role, working Monday – Friday, with a salary circa £15.00 an hour which is negotiable depending on skills and experience
