Bookkeeper / Accountant - Part-time hours
We are working with a small business on the outskirts of Blaydon who are looking to employ a part-time Bookkeeper or Accountant to support with their additional workflow.
Working either 2 or 3 days a week, mornings from the office and afternoons from home this opportunity provides a great amount of flexibility for those looking to work part-time hours around other commitments.
We are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper at a minimum through to a qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA) as work can be tailored according to experience.
Accounting duties available:
- Preparation of VAT returns.
- Bookkeeping for small sole trader and Limited companies.
- Completion of self assessment tax returns
- Preparation of statutory year end accounts (experience in this area is a bonus, not essential)
- Compiling accounts from both computerised records, excel and some manual files.
- Preparing small volume payroll (training can be given).
Experience required:
- Accounting experience must be at a minimum of bookkeeping level, ideally with AAT Level 4 part of fully qualified.
- Those with year end statutory experience would be given more year end accounts to complete.
- Both Industry and Practice experience considered.
- Applicants must be a confident user with Xero, any exposure to Quickbooks, Sage and Brightpay would be advantageous.
