Bookkeeper - Regional Firm of Accountants, Grimsby (Full or Part Time)

The Role

Our client is a regional firm of Chartered Accountants and business advisors. As a result of ongoing success and growth within the firm, the business is looking to recruit an experienced Bookkeeper to work within their Grimsby office.

Duties and Responsibilities

Working within a highly supportive team environment, the role of Bookkeeper will manage all aspects of client bookkeeping needs, duties will include :

• Preparation of client bookkeeping using either Sage, Xero or Quickbooks

• Prepare quarterly VAT Returns

• Maintain and update manual and computer records

• Assist with resolving any relevant client queries

• Build and develop relationships with core bookkeeping clients

• Reconciliation of key control accounts such as bank, sales ledger and purchase ledger

• Work to be undertaken in the office and at client premises

Skills and Qualities

The successful applicant will be an experienced bookkeeper who can work unsupervised, ideally with experience working from within a firm of accountants. Individuals will have strong working knowledge of Sage, Xero or Quickbooks.

Applicants will ideally be AAT qualified or qualified by experience with a minimum of 4 year's experience.

The role will be based within the firms Grimsby office, but will also include working some work at client premises from time to time, it is therefore essential that applicants drive and have the use of their own vehicle.

• Excellent base salary (dependent upon experience)
