Bookkeeper

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this role focuses on carrying out oil & gas accounting functions together with day-to-day accounting.

Description

AS the Bookkeeper you will be responsible for the following:

• Manage the accounts payable function
• Recharge costs and issue debit notes - monthly
• Reconcile bank accounts at end of month / Cash-flow / FX
• Input and reconcile monthly payroll
• Maintain and reconcile fixed assets register on monthly basis
• Quarterly Dutch/UK VAT returns and its reconciliation
• Monthly reconcile prepayments and accruals
• Reconcile inter-companies monthly
• Manage Trial Balance for 3-5 business units (entities). The transactions to handle are high in value but low in volume
• Prepare first draft of monthly management reports
• Prepare first draft of monthly forecast as requested by Head Office
• Perform any other ad hoc duties as and when required

Profile

To be considered for this Bookkeeper role you must have:

• Strong double entry accounting knowledge
• Proven record within a similar accounting role
• SUN software experience required
• Oil & gas experience desirable
