Job description

Are you the kind of professional who thrives in a busy environment, seeking out solutions and constantly aiming for excellence in your field? Does the idea of being at the forefront of sustainable estate management and contributing to a Net Zero future excite you? If so, my client is offering an exceptional opportunity for a Building Surveyor to become a pivotal part of their dedicated team.
In this vital role, you'll be working closely under the Life Cycle Manager, engaging with various teams to craft and execute comprehensive investment and asset management programmes across an extensive portfolio. This will include immediate priorities as well as the strategic delivery of a 25-year plan aimed at achieving Net Zero targets. Your responsibilities will include managing building surveys to inform the Life Cycle Management plan, developing and enhancing information systems for optimal data recording and analysis, and providing insightful reports to update and guide the leadership on progress, risks, and strategic planning. You'll bring to the table your expertise in:
  • Managing the surveying process, undertaking on-site surveys to assess building conditions, and identifying sustainable solutions for repair or replacement.
  • Advising on the maintenance and conservation of historic buildings, ensuring their preservation aligns with modern standards and sustainability goals.
  • Leading initiatives to meet Net Zero objectives through informed recommendations based on survey outcomes.
  • Working together with teams across the organisation to foster energy efficiency, sustainable construction, and the overall enhancement of the estate's life cycle.
The role comes with an attractive package, highlighting:
  • A competitive salary of circa £43,000 plus a comprehensive benefits package that underscores the organisation's commitment to employee well-being and work-life balance.
  • Generous annual leave entitlement, and a working week of 37.5 hours
  • Professional development opportunities and support towards achieving chartered status.
  • An inclusive and supportive team environment that encourages innovation and continuous improvement.
My client stands out for their commitment to excellence, sustainability, and creating a positive impact on the environment and community. They value collaboration, innovation, and the professional growth of their team members, making this an ideal setting for a Building Surveyor passionate about making a difference and advancing their career.
If you're eager to contribute to a sustainable future and take your career to the next level within a supportive and visionary team, we would love to hear from you. Apply now to embark on a rewarding journey that blends professional development with meaningful impact.
