How you'll make a difference
What will you be doing?
- You will be researching a variety of subjects including any legislation and supporting statutory regulations. Analysing the requirements by looking at the current work and discussing them.
- You will set up workshops, identifying key stakeholders and keeping logs of discussions. You will need to maintain a project plan to manage the activities, including a timetable for the project to inform people what they could expect by when and when they would need to be involved.
- For each project you will develop the ‘To Be’ and ‘As Is’ process maps and supporting guidance.
- You will produce working prototypes on systems to demonstrate to the stakeholders to show how the future process might look. You may need to influence and guide stakeholders to ensure that they are clear about how moving their work onto the system would provide a more joined up service with their colleagues.
- After designing the new process you will hold demo sessions to the stakeholders to communicate the proposed changes and get feedback.
- During the ‘go live’ on the system your role will be to support the stakeholders and ensure they are confident in using the new system.
- You will hold post implementation reviews (formal and informal) to check that outcomes were as planned and look at whether any further changes are required.
- To succeed in this role you should have a natural analytical way of thinking and be able to explain difficult concepts to non-technical users
What we need from you
- You should be educated to degree standard, preferably in an IT or IS related subject, or with relevant experience in a similar role.
- You will have a good analytical understanding and be able to demonstrate the use of this in the identification, documentation and implementation of new business processes across a range of work areas. This should include working with relevant legislative frameworks, including the Data protection Act and its implementation.
- You will have substantial experience in the use of computer systems including MSOffice Software, Visio and project management software or similar, and in particular how these relate to business processes.
- You will have training, knowledge and experience in Systems analysis in a recognised methodology with the ability to demonstrate experience of having used it.
