Business Development Executive
Location: Sligo, Ireland
Salary: €60,000 - €65,000 (DOE)
Our client, a leading medical device engineering company, is seeking a Business Development Executive to drive new business for their manufacturing plants in Ireland and North America. This role involves identifying and targeting potential customers, generating leads, and managing the sales process from initial contact to closing deals. Regular travel to the U.S. and Europe is required.
Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and target new business opportunities.
• Research potential customers and generate leads.
• Qualify inbound enquiries and develop them into sales opportunities.
• Manage the end-to-end sales process.
• Build relationships with prospects through face-to-face meetings.
• Maintain data hygiene in Sales CRM (Hubspot).
• Prepare and follow up on customer quotations.
• Deliver presentations and facility tours to prospects.
• Achieve sales targets and KPIs.
• Travel to the U.S. or Europe for approximately 2 days/month.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Candidate Profile:

• Degree in Business, Engineering, or related discipline (preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of sales experience, ideally in manufacturing/production.
• Proven track record in outbound sales.
• Driven, determined, and eager to succeed.
• Excellent communication and networking skills.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Highly organized with strong multitasking abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail with numerical and problem-solving skills.
• Team player with the ability to work independently.
• Ability to travel internationally.
