Job Title: New Business Development Executive
Reporting to: Head of New Business Development
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday
Annual Salary: OTE year one = £45,500 uncapped (£25,000 basic)
Benefits: Mobile phone, laptop/tablet, company car allowance (£4,800 per annum) plus business miles.
The Business Development Executive will play a pivotal role in generating new business through a comprehensive sales cycle, focusing on both SMEs and Enterprise segments within the UK's workplaces. The company's sales philosophy emphasises a consultative approach, tailoring creative solutions to meet client needs. The role involves a combination of office-based work in Oxfordshire and on-site visits with clients, primarily in the M1, M40, M4/London area. However, the company is open to considering exceptional candidates outside this region.
Responsibilities:
- Qualifying and booking appointments through the existing customer base, cold calling, and networking.
Monitoring and reporting activities to the line manager, providing relevant management information.
Attending business-to-business sales meetings and delivering presentations to potential customers.
Negotiating and closing business deals.
Developing a set geographical area and achieving various KPIs and sales targets.
The Candidate:
The ideal candidate possesses excellent communication skills, is outgoing, confident, and well-presented. A positive attitude and the ability to develop strong client relationships are crucial. Emotional engagement with clients, coupled with rational thinking, is essential. Clear communication of aspirations, drivers, and motivations is key.
Skills Requirements:
- Ideally educated to undergraduate level or above.
IT literate with intermediate Microsoft Excel and Word skills.
Commercial awareness and ideally a proven track record in direct sales.
Basic understanding of Profit & Loss accounts, cash flow forecasting, and balance sheets.
Excellent business writing and time management skills.
Strong influencing and customer service skills.
Excellent reporting and analytical skills.
Strong interpersonal skills with a natural ability to converse with a diverse audience.
Personal Requirements:
- Full clean driving license.
Hands-on approach.
Ability to work as part of a team.
