JOB PURPOSE
To manage the existing Estimating Team within Scotland in the Europe Commercial business to ensure compliance with Company procedures and strategy. Supporting the Estimating Team and ensuring best practices are adhered to with internal and external customers both new and existing.
This role can be carried out from either the Glasgow, Edinburgh or Broxburn branch.
KEY RESULT AREAS
- Implementation of strategy in line with the Regional Manager and supporting to ensure the regional AOP target’s and KPI’s are achieved in full.
- Estimate and prepare quotations for major project works within the Scotland remit.
- Continually check and monitor all opportunities over £100k value prior to issue to the customer.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
- Assist Estimators across the Scottish region with estimates and customer negotiation.
- Check and authorise estimates prior to issue to clients within the DOA limit
- Ensuring Estimating team are working to Company procedures and processes
- Assist Estimating team in the day to day estimating of contracts and production of quotations
- Identify and pursue business opportunities to achieve AOP revenue targets
- Liaise with clients and identify contract opportunities
- Ensure contracts are secured to margins set out by Company guidelines
- Ensure all internal reports, Salesforce, Forecasting, Job Builds, Contract Handovers, Hand-Over App are input correctly
- Assist in pricing and preparation of extra to contract quotations
- Generate and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers and partners
- General day to day over seeing of the Estimating teams
- Support for the Regional Manager
EXPERIENCE & ATTRIBUTES
- A proven track record as an Estimator / Business Development Manager within the Scaffolding sector
- Excellent team management and coaching skills
- Appreciation of the design process with the ability to understand engineering plans
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships
- Good self discipline and a strong commitment to quality and procedures
- Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
