An exciting Temporary position has been created for 37 hours per week within the Business Support Team.
This post will involve working in Street lighting at Leeming Bar and the Highways Department based in Boroughbridge. It would be a great opportunity to develop knowledge and understanding of the Highway and Road lighting departments, working closely with various teams both internal and external.
We are offering a 12-month contract working Monday - Wednesday at Leeming Bar and Thursday / Friday at Boroughbridge. Mileage will be paid for distance between offices.
This is a varied and rewarding role. The post holder will deal with processing information, signposting people where appropriate. Day-to-day core focus will be providing administrative support to operational staff , Project Engineers, Highway Officers, Electrical Inspectors and Contractors who are planning to complete projects and make improvements to the Highway.
Candidates must have excellent written and communication skills, with the ability to work under pressure and prioritise their workload. Strong IT skills, strong organisational skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a proactive team are essential.
