Position Overview: As a Clinical Negligence/Catastrophic Injury Solicitor, you will play a crucial role in managing and advancing complex cases. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of Clinical Negligence or Catastrophic Injury matters from inception to conclusion.
- Conduct thorough investigations, including reviewing medical records and consulting with medical experts.
- Assess the merits of potential claims and provide clear and strategic legal advice to clients.
- Engage in negotiations with opposing parties and insurers to secure favorable settlements.
- Represent clients at court hearings, mediations, and other dispute resolution forums.
- Keep abreast of relevant legal developments and contribute to the continuous improvement of the department.
Requirements:
- Qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 4 years' experience in Clinical Negligence or Catastrophic Injury.
- Demonstrable experience handling high-value and complex cases.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant legislation, case law, and legal procedures.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex legal concepts to clients and colleagues.
- Proven track record of achieving successful outcomes for clients.
