You will be responsible for the management of a designated caseload of commercial insurance claims from initial notice through to closure. In this role you will work in partnership with clients, sub-brokers, adjusters and insurers to ensure claims progress without delay and the customer receives successful outcomes and a positive claims experience.
Duties will include …
- Ensure the accurate capture of claims information throughout the lifecycle of the claims
- Create and maintain digital & paper records
- Ensure that insurers are kept fully updated
- Act as a client advocate to effectively represent clients
- Negotiate settlements on the best terms possible
- Co-ordinate claims collections and payments
- Provide clients with regular updates, support and guidance
What you need to bring …
- Experience within a claims handling / technician role. Exposure to commercial insurance claims is preferred, but training will be provided to candidates coming from a home or motor background.
- Strong client relationship development and customer service skills
- Good organisation and the ability to prioritise workload.
- Work with a team ethos and collaborate effectively.
What you can expect …
- Salary to £27,000 + annual bonus and excellent benefits package
- Permanent contract
- Mon to Fri - 9:00 to 5:00 with 1 hour lunch (35 hours per week)
- Hybrid Working Flexibility - 3 days in Hitchin office, SG4 with 2 days per week at home (if desired)
