Client Account Manager (Intermediary/Sub-Advisory) Associate:

Job Summary
As a Client Account Manager (Intermediary/Sub-advisory) - Associate in Asset Management, you would be responsible for the day to day servicing of J.P. Morgan Asset Management’s institutional, sub-advisory, intermediary and global liquidity client base. In addition to establishing and maintaining a high level of service for clients across all asset classes, you would be responsible for developing an understanding of the unique servicing needs of their clients and championing those concerns within the context of the larger firm.
As part of the Client Service Team you will act as the key contact for all legal, administrative, operational and general servicing issues for our core segregated clients, sub-advisory clients, intermediated clients and any clients invested in Alternative and Pooled funds You will be responsible for the coordination of on-boarding for clients in these vehicles as well as the day to day servicing, and additionally, this team takes ownership of certain support and process-oriented responsibilities for the wider CAM team across various business channels.
Job Responsibilities:
- Become subject matter expert for the respective region/ client/ vehicle type covered i.e. develop knowledge of local regulations, market constraints and client type specific issues,
- Demonstrate in depth knowledge of various fund ranges and its operating structure (ManCo, service providers
- Ensure complex client issues are resolved with minimum impact to the client/the business. This will often involve working cross functionally across a number of departments such as legal, compliance, risk, product areas and attaining “buy in” from the business to meet the clients’ needs, in order to achieve a manageable solution
- Work with our Contract Specialist Team (CST) who are responsible for reviewing and negotiating contractual agreements and all other legal documentation in conjunction with the legal department. Take responsibility for reviewing SLA and fee schedules including retrocessions, partnering with relevant departments
- Co-ordinate all client aspects of account opening/closing both with clients and internally (i.e. including explaining operational processes & JPM policies to clients, validating client instructions and instructing the business, ensuring all systems are correctly set up etc.)
- Partner with the Client Onboarding Management (COM) team who Co-ordinate onboarding/transitions / strategic restructures / custody changes/ Terminations etc.
- Coordinate retrocession arrangements for intermediary clients – ensuring correct set-up and ongoing servicing and issue resolution
- Develop strong relationships with local offices, Client Service teams globally in US, EMEA and APAC and Service delivery teams
- Obtain and record Know your client (KYC) and Know your distributor (KYD) documentation to support Anti-money laundering responsibilities and provide to the AML team
- Use Spectrum and Morgan Institutional or other relevant AM tech tools to ensure effective and efficient communication with internal stakeholders and clients. Proactively drive automation of operational processes for efficiency
- Demonstrate a controls mindset with daily oversight of client emails to ensure every client communication is acknowledged immediately and a daily review of CAM spectrum dashboard to ensure risk items and cases are completed and/or escalated appropriately to management
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- You have proven experience at an asset management firm;
- You demonstrate good understanding of the asset management structure and key stakeholders;
- You are client focused and able to gain an in-depth understanding of clients’ servicing needs;
- You demonstrate excellent communication skills (both oral and written)
- You are highly accurate with good attention to detail
- You demonstrate strong judgement and decision- making skills with a risk mind set
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills:
- You have Investment Management Certificate
- You demonstrate background in client service or Client facing role especially in areas related to managing Clients who delegate EMEA Mutual Funds to Asset Managers
- You have experience of negotiating Investment management agreements
- You demonstrate fluency in English (spoken and written), another European language will be a plus
