This post offers a unique training opportunity. It is suitable for a post-CCT Neurosurgery trainee, who wishes to pursue a focused one-year training in lateral Skull base surgery, allowing her/him to pursue a career in Skull base neurosurgery. The post is a full time appointment.
The fellowship is expected to be for 12 months duration; there may be an option for prolonging this for up to a second year.
The post holder would also be expected to participate in MDT Skull base clinics with responsibility of seeing new and follow up patients. The post holder is integrally involved in the Multidisciplinary team meetings, and is expected to present patients during the meeting, gaining experience in pre and post -surgical evaluation and decision making.
We would welcome applications from any candidate whose career progression would be helped by a longer period of complex lateral Skull base experience at registrar level including lateral orbital, subtemporal, transpetrous and retrosigmoid approaches.
