Description
- Manage and resolve a variety of complex Commercial Disputes
- Provide top-tier legal advice to a diverse client base
- To take an active role on a portfolio of cases across industry sectors in the Commercial Disputes practice
- Contributing to strategic decision-making, as well as the day-to-day running of cases, are central to this role
- To deal with external counsel, economists and funders
- To work on and manage claims at the pre-litigation stage, including preparing claim forms and particulars of claim and engaging in pre-action protocol correspondence and dialogues
- To manage large scale disclosure exercises
- Work collaboratively within a professional team to deliver high-quality legal services
- Negotiate settlements and represent clients in court and arbitration proceedings
- Participate in business development activities to expand the company's client base
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws and regulations
- Manage client relationships and ensure their satisfaction with the company's services
- Contribute to the development of the company's legal strategies and procedures
Profile
A successful Commercial Disputes Associate should have:
- A degree in law from a recognised institution.
- Proven experience in Commercial Disputes
- Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales
- Strong experience managing large, complex projects involving multiple stakeholders
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Proven experience in commercial dispute resolution
- Excellent legal research and writing skills
- A strong understanding of relevant laws and regulations
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills
- The ability to work effectively within a team and independently
