The difference you will make as a Commercial Gas Heating Manager
The Property Services Directorate manages the repairs and maintenance service to over 22,000 properties across London, the South East and Home Counties.
The directorate undertakes repairs, servicing, voids and planned maintenance work to our customers’ homes via our inhouse team and a variety of contractors and service providers who are employed on our behalf. This includes repairs to general needs, leasehold, market rent and our specialist Care and Support schemes. Our work also includes statutory and regulatory compliance checks.
Our DLO provides gas/heating repairs and servicing to residents and the service is supported by external contractors. Our aim is to provide a first class, customer focused service for heating, gas and alternative technologies, working closely with the wider property services team. The successful applicant will be responsible for managing the service, through a team of supervisors and operatives, and external contractors responsible for delivering communal repair and installation and ensuring that excellent levels of compliance are maintained. In conjunction with OHG health and safety team, the Heating Manager will ensure safe working practises are adhered to and works are delivered on time, in budget and to a high standard ensuring OHG meet its statutory, regulatory and policy requirements.
About you
We are looking for someone with:
- Gas safety management including previous management of a DLO/sub-contractors
- Minimum domestic ACS & Commercial qualified
- Full driving licence
- Line Management experience, within a social housing environment.
- Computer literate and skilled with Microsoft word, excel and office
- Data management skills
- Budget Management skills
- Project Management
