Commercial Manager

We have a new opportunity available for a Commercial Manager, based in Braintree, offering a salary of 50'000 to 60'000 plus benefits.
Benefits include holiday, pension, ample free car parking and a great work environment. The working hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm.
You will be working for a successful property developer, within the construction industry, who are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Commercial Manager. As a Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all commercial activities within the company. This includes cost control, contract negotiations, and business development. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial management and possess excellent analytical and negotiation skills.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement commercial strategies to drive business growth and profitability
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify new business opportunities
- Manage contract negotiations with clients, suppliers, and vendors
- Monitor and analyse sales performance to ensure targets are met or exceeded
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop pricing strategies and optimize revenue streams
- Oversee the preparation of commercial proposals and bids
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements in all commercial activities
- Provide guidance and support to the sales team in achieving their targets
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and industry partners
Skills:
- Proven experience in commercial management within construction
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Knowledge of cost control principles and techniques
- Ability to develop and implement effective commercial strategies
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
