Customer Service Consultant

Our client is a highly reputable Chemical Manufacturing business which focuses the UK and European market. Due to continued growth, our client is looking to expand their sales team and take on an Internal Salesperson to help support the team.
Position Overview:
Responsible for driving sales by ensuring customer satisfaction through a high level of Customer Service within the daily customer facing sales tasks.
Core Responsibilities:
- Ensuring tasks are completed quickly and efficiently by assigning work from the sales inbox system.
- Accurately processing customer orders, releasing to the warehouse, and sending customer order confirmations.
- Effectively dealing with customer queries and complaints in a timely manner ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Managing the customer backorder queue by providing timely updates and liaising with Purchasing department.
- Answering incoming telephone enquiries and managing the company web chat portal.
- Ensuring sales growth through achieving high levels of customer satisfaction and key account management.
- Providing relevant feedback from clients to Campaign Co-ordinator where relevant to enhance opportunities and escalating issues/ providing client feedback for assisting future growth to Head of Sales as required.
- Identify, record escalate and highlight opportunities to improve sales.

- Active Listener through paying attention to what the customer is saying and asking clarifying questions to fully understand the issue or the question being sure to gather feedback to improve our service and offerings.
- Ability to communicate effectively and clearly in all formats.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to demonstrate effective conflict resolution.
- Overall familiarity with products and services to be able to effectively deal with customer enquiries reducing need to escalate to colleagues.
- Ability to respond promptly and make quick decisions, effectively managing work to always ensure a high throughput.
- High level of attention to detail ensuring customer satisfaction and reducing non-conformances.
- Good knowledge of SAP Business One and other software systems as required to ensure can deal with customer requests effectively and promptly.
- Willingness to understand a customer's unspoken needs to be able to go above and beyond and deliver the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
Salary:
- £26,000 - £28,000
Hours:
- 9.00am - 5.00pm or 8.00am - 4.00pm / Monday - Friday
