Data is becoming more important than ever in Counter Terrorism Policing (CTP) – which means our Data professionals are too. As a Data Manager Officer Indexer, you’ll work in our innovative National Data Management Unit, providing efficient, proficient and effective services for all aspects of Data Management administration and investigation. Ready to use your skills to help keep the country safe? This could be the role for you.

As part of our Data Indexing team, you will research and cross reference intelligence through secured databases. The goal? To identify key lines of enquiry and raise this information when required. It’s a challenging role, so you’ll need to thrive under pressure, prioritise workloads and use your initiative. In return, you will have an immensely satisfying job where you are making a significant contribution to safeguarding communities throughout the United Kingdom. To join us, you’ll need the ability to identify relevant information from reports and create that information accurately within a database. You should also be adept at summarising large volumes of information, focusing on the most important points. And finally, you should be able to spot inaccuracies whenever they arise. With your eye for detail, there’ll be no errors slipping past.

At this level, you’ll need to be computer literate, capable of using Microsoft applications and able to enter data quickly and accurately. We’re also looking for knowledge of relevant supporting legislation. And finally, you must be well versed in the principles of the Government Protective Marking Scheme (GPMS), Government Security Classification (GSC) and how it is applied in relation to intelligence product. Ticked all the boxes? We’d like to hear from you.

In return, you can expect a competitive salary, a Civil Service pension, excellent career development, and a highly fulfilling role. Intrigued? Join us.
