Please see the full job description for more details Main duties of the job: Ensure the Dispensary provides a high quality service to patients, doctors, nurses and other members of the Practice team Management of team members - delegate appropriately and empower team members, ensuring safe practice Represent your team internally eg Team Leader, clinical or other meetings, and take any necessary actions Initiate and participate in new policies and procedures to aid and improve practice organisation and provision of services to patients Deal with returned medication from patients and dispensed but uncollected medication, including controlled medication Oversee/check colleagues dispensing and undertake dispensing activities yourself as required Daily check of all prescriptions and prescription monies Participate in weekly monitored dose system orders Support the team in dealing with queries and complaints relating to prescriptions as necessary and ensure outstanding queries are explained and handed over to the next shift as necessary Undertake DRUMs (Dispensing Review of Use of Medicines) as required by the Dispensing Service Quality Scheme (DSQS) Take on a supervisor / leadership role for any allocated elements of the DSQS scheme, to ensure that this process is well managed each year.
