Information Governance / Information Assurance Officer / DSAR Project Manager

Here's what you'll be doing:
Expert SAR Management: You'll be the maestro orchestrating the administration of Subject Access Requests (SARs). From communicating with requestors to analyzing data requirements and identifying exemptions, you'll be the go-to person for managing the entire SAR process seamlessly.
Rectification & Erasure Requests: Handling requests for rectification and erasure with finesse, ensuring compliance with regulations and sensitivity towards individual rights.
Legislative Expertise: Provide invaluable subject matter expertise on Data Protection and Information Management legislation, guiding staff at all levels through the maze of regulations and processes.
Experience, Knowledge & Skills:
Regulatory Mastery: A deep understanding of the Data Protection Act 2018 and GDPR, with a keen awareness of individual rights to information and the role of regulatory bodies.
Proven Track Record: Significant prior experience in managing complex Data Subject Access requests, showcasing your ability to navigate through challenges effectively.
Exemption Proficiency: Extensive practical experience in applying information rights exemptions and handling requests sensitively, ensuring compliance while respecting privacy.
Data Savvy: Excellent comprehension of personal data and a knack for accurately specifying data search requirements, ensuring precision in every aspect.
Communication Prowess: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a talent for crafting clear and concise responses to requestors.
Organizational Wizardry: Stellar organizational and record-keeping skills, ensuring nothing falls through the cracks in the fast-paced world of data management.
Technical Proficiency: Strong technical skills, including document conversion and proficiency in Adobe Acrobat PRO for redaction and document management.
Bonus: Ideally, familiarity with University processes and functions, facilitating the evaluation of appropriate exemptions and locating relevant information.
