About the Role:
As the Duty Manager at Hampton Pool, part of the YMCA St Paul’s Group, your role is central to our commitment to providing exemplary leisure services. You will be a key figure in the smooth running of the facility, ensuring a high-quality experience for all our patrons. Your presence will stabilise during your shifts, overseeing all aspects of the pool’s operations and ensuring staff and visitors’ wellbeing. This position offers a dynamic and diverse range of responsibilities, including staff supervision, emergency response, and customer service. As a Duty Manager, you represent the core values of the YMCA, ensuring that every visitor’s experience is safe, enjoyable, and memorable.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Excellence: Manage daily operations of the pool, ensuring efficiency and safety. You will conduct routine checks, oversee the maintenance of high pool water quality standards, and ensure a welcoming and hazard-free environment.
Team Management: You will be responsible for leading and inspiring your team, managing schedules, overseeing the operational aspects of staff management, fostering a supportive and collaborative team environment, ensuring effective communication, and promoting professional growth among team members.
Health, Safety, and Security Vigilance: You will uphold health and safety standards, respond to emergencies, and ensure compliance with safeguarding procedures. Your role is crucial in creating a secure environment for all.
Customer Service Champion: Provide exceptional customer service, respond to enquiries, and manage customer feedback. Your role involves being the first point of contact for many and setting the tone for their experience at the pool.
Facility and Event Management: You will assist in managing facility bookings, promoting health services, and supporting the delivery of events. Your involvement in these areas will be key to our programmes’ smooth functioning and success.
General Administration and Promotion: Efficiently manage administrative tasks and actively promote Hampton Pool through various channels, including social media.
